Potiza with Cap
PNE-01-Z-0011
Design:Pot has a bulbous bottom section. Neck
section is also bulbous and has line designs and decorative handles. Top
is rounded off and closed.
Size:Height 24.8cm, Greatest Width 19.7cm
Condition:Fragile and almost soft to the
touch, dry and dusty.
Color:Greyish Brown with areas of yellow
Temper:None apparent

Comments:It has been suggested that the
closed top could be like a cork or some type of stopper. The pot has
similar lugs that have large, deep punctations. On the top lobe, the
potiza has a band of arrow shaped lines pointing to a single, vertical
line that is in the center of this lobe. This band is repeated on
both sides of the vessel.
