PNE-01-Z-0017

  • Size:N/A (Roughly 20cm in height)

  • Condition:It is in extremely good condition although both arms have broken off.

  • Color:Yellowish tan

  • Temper:Sand

  • Collection Date:Prior to August 1996

  • IllustrationN/A

  • Comments:This vessel is important due to the belief that is an effigy vase (Stevens-Arroyo 1988; Loven 1935) and the fact that this type of vessel is rare in a complete form. It is also unique in that the figure represents a Taino myth concerning the origin of males and females.
