The Beaux Arts Trio Performing at Auer Hall, Indiana University Bloomington
2005 marked the 50th anniversary of the Beaux Arts Trio, celebrated at Indiana University with performances during the Summer Music Festival (right, at Auer Hall). Pianist Menahem Pressler, the Trio’s founder, holds the position of Distinguished Professor at IU’s Jacobs School of Music. The Trio’s current members include violinist Daniel Hope and cellist Antonio Meneses.
In honor of the group’s 50th anniversary earlier this year, WTIU produced a concert film to honor the Trio and shed light on what it means to create music as a group. The program includes interviews with the performers and footage from the anniversary concert.
