French Lick Springs Hotel lobbyThe gloriously restored lobby of the French Lick Springs Hotel features intricate gold detailing, painted ceilings, dramatic chandeliers, and unusual scagliola columns. WTIU documented the restoration and explored the history of the hotel in the 2007 production RESTORING THE LEGEND: THE FRENCH LICK SPRINGS HOTEL. The hotel is helping the region stake a claim on becoming one of the premiere resort areas in the Midwest, even the country.

WTIU has also produced a program about the restoration of the nearby West Baden Springs Hotel.
