The IU Ballet Theatre’s Annual Performance of The Nutcracker
Each holiday season, Tchaikovsky’s magical The Nutcracker is brought to life in a colorful production by the Ballet Theater of Indiana University’s School of Music.
WTIU takes you behind the scenes with a day-in-the-life documentary of the 43rd annual staging of the holiday classic. Viewers meet the talented professionals, aspiring students, and dedicated children who work together to make the production come alive on stage. A holiday classic in its own right, SUGARPLUM DREAMS was awarded a regional Emmy in 2002.
SUGARPLUM DREAMS: STAGING THE NUTCRACKER BALLET will air Sunday, December 24, 2006 at 3pm and Monday, December 25, 2006 at 8pm.
