Rudy Pozzatti, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Fine Arts and Founding Director of Echo Press at Indiana University
Memory to me deals with time, space, and events, and how each person uniquely structures his or her individual universe. This image represents space continuum, with the warm color as earth and the blue as outer space and infinity. There is a suggestion of deep perspective by the strong use of linear intersections. The three blocks are like monuments of events in time. The head portrays each of us as we progress through time, experiencing all types of sensations and amassing our personal memories.
