These drawings by Professor Elizabeth Raff were used as the logo of the Indiana Institute for Molecular and Cellular Biology's 1994 symposium, "Origins and Evolution of Animal Body Plans." They represent two early animal forms and two embryos, and symbolize the approaches of paleontology and biology of the development of living organisms to the overall problem of the evolution of body form.
