About the Contributors

Leigh Hedger is a public relations writer at Hirons & Company, in Bloomington, Indiana, and a photographer for the Indiana University Afro-American Arts Institute.

Susan Moke is a doctoral candidate in the English department at Indiana University Bloomington. She is editor of the Majority Report, a publication of Indiana University's Office for Women's Affairs, and a writer for the Center for Reading and Language Studies. She also teaches in the Division of Extended Studies.

Lucianne Englert is the public relations/marketing director for the Indiana University Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, part of the School of Business. She also runs a freelance writing and marketing consulting business, Englert Marketing Communication (E=mc2).

Naomi Ritter, professor emerita of German, University of Missouri, is a research associate and gray panther in the Office of Affirmative Action at Indiana University Bloomington. She is also a freelance writer on academic, feminist, and sociopolitical issues and on the arts. In her spare time, she pursues activist projects for women.

Todd Avery is a graduate student in English at Indiana University Bloomington.

Mary Hrovat works for the Indiana University Libraries and does freelance writing and editing. She holds a bachelor's degree from Indiana University in astrophysics and has completed course work in the School of Library and Information Science.

Bob Baird is a Bloomington writer, editor, journalism instructor, and landscaper. He counts among his career highlights a choral concert tour of Europe, skiing in the Alps, performing as Ko-Ko in The Mikado, speaking at a recreation conference in Utah, and tending his flowers and herbs in his garden in Bloomington.

Shawna Brynildssen is a full-time freelance writer and editor based in Bloomington, Indiana. The majority of her work focuses on business, education, and career exploration.
