About the ContributorsEileen Bender is university director of the Faculty Colloquium on Excellence in Teaching at Indiana University and professor of English at Indiana University South Bend. Her research and teaching have focused on contemporary American ethnic and women's literature and film, as well as on strategies to enhance teaching and learning. She has served as editor, guest editor, and reviewer for several journals of interdisciplinary research and college pedagogy, and is currently a member of the editorial board of To Improve The Academy and Research & Creative Activity. Donald Gray has written on topics in nineteenth-century British literature and the preparation of secondary-school teachers of English. He is an editor of Victorian Studies and has also served as the editor of College English. He retired last spring as Culbertson Professor of English after more than forty years of teaching at Indiana University Bloomington. Deborah Galyan is a fiction writer and occasional freelance writer living in Bloomington, Indiana. William Rozycki received a Ph.D. in Central Eurasian studies from Indiana University and now teaches writing at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Eric R. Pfeffinger is a playwright and cartoonist who lives in Bloomington. He holds master's degrees in English and library science from Indiana University and works for the M.B.A. Program at the Kelley School of Business. Judi Hetrick is a doctoral candidate in folklore at Indiana University Bloomington. She also works as a writer and editor. Lucianne Englert is the marketing/public relations manager for The Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, part of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
