wooden sphere puzzle

Polyhedron 32, made in Japan by Yashirou Kuwayama, 2002. This puzzle is one of more than 30,000 puzzles and nearly 4,000 puzzle-related books donated to Indiana University's Lilly Library by puzzle enthusiast and author Jerry Slocum. Approximately 400 of the puzzles are on display in a refurbished exhi bition room at the library named in Slocum's honor. Visitors to the Lilly Library may attempt replicas of puzzles that have entertained humans for centuries. Slocum's collection may also be browsed online through IU's Digital Library Program at http://webapp1.dlib.indiana.edu/slocum/index.jsp. Photo by Michael Taylor.
