After a brief description of the values, the paper presents a 51-item annotated bibliography of children's literature (big books, chapter books, or picture books) published between 1940 and 1993 categorized by the value taught. Two versions of a directed reading/singing lesson (one for younger children, the other for older children) based on R. Munsch's "Love You Forever"; and a lesson plan on J. Steptoe's "Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters" are attached. Contains nine references. (RS)
