New Research Study by Dr. Chen, "The Study of Social Impacts of Tourism in Finnmark, Norway"
Dr. Chen’s study, which was funded by the National Science Foundation, aims to evaluate the perceived social changes in an arctic region of Norway.

NCA on the Road
On October 23, Ray Bloomer and Sherril York provided consultation to ensure accessibility to the Hamilton Grange National Historic Site in a kickoff meeting on the redesign and relocation of exhibits in NYC. Also while in the Big Apple, Ray and Sherril consulted with the Central Park Conservancy on Oct. 24 on the development of an accessibility map for Central Park and explore other accessibility related needs. The week of Oct. 27 Nicole Montembeault traveled to the Chicago area to conduct trail accessibility assessments and Ray and Sherril will be in Washington. DC attending the National Park Service System Wide Accessibility Committee meetings.
Eppley Institute Creating a Parks and Recreation Master Plan for Gary, Indiana
This will be done through engaging the public via public workshops and focus groups, interviewing community stakeholders, and by educating the Park Board and Common Council on the park and recreation master plan. As part of this process, a full inventory of all Gary City parks (approx 60) will be conducted. This inventory will assess park facilities, condition, and opportunities and will take place the week of November 10.
