Ion Matei Costinescu
Ion Matei Costinescu is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of History at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He holds an M.A. in History from Western Michigan University, where he has also worked as a lecturer. He has presented papers at several academic conferences. These include “Greater Romania: Critical Historiography or National Ideology?” and “The Nation as Epistemic Regime: Dimitrie Gusti and the Mapping of Rural Romania”. Currently he is working on his dissertation provisionally titled: “Romanians into Peasants: Dimitrie Gusti and the Romanian Third Way, 1896-1946.”
