Everything you will need to survive your first 30 days of IST Technology Boot Camp
This e-booklet has been written as a guide to enable the IST Rookie to accomplish the technology-related tasks they will face in the first 30 days. If you work through these tasks faithfully, you should know how to do most of the basic jobs required of IST students so that you will be able to build on these skills throughout your tenure as a student.
The following definitions will help you work your way through this material:
Procedures: Step by step instructions that will walk you through tasks that you need to complete
- Logging in for the first time to the IUB network
- Logging in to a computer
- Signing in to ListServes
- Using Printers in the IST Lab
- Logging Off & WHY YOU NEED TO!
- Checking out video/audio and other multimedia equipments from Teaching Technology Lab (TTL) equipment room
- To get support from Educational Technology Services (ETS) in School of Ed
- Do you need more support from technology services in IU (UITS)?
Room Combinations: IST students will be given these combinations so that they may use the facilities after hours.
- Room 2271: IST Lab
- Room 2267/2263: Audio Booth + Narration Booth (The key is hung on the wall of IST lab))
- Room 2261: (IST Video Studio)
- Room 2250: High End Digital Video Recording/Editing
- Room 2270 & 2274: Conference and Project Rooms (Keys for after-hours use available in the IST Office)
