Actions Taken in Response to 2010 Survey
- Upgraded existing classroom technology to a new simplified interface.
- Finished installing classroom technology in all general purpose classrooms on campus.
- Life-cycled computers in Student Technology Centers and faculty and staff Offices.
- Rolled out new software offerings in the Student Technology Centers including Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010, and Adobe Creative Suite 5.5.
- Migrated core campus servers to the IU Intelligent Infrastructure.
- Increased level of wireless coverage throughout the campus.
- Installed redundant I-Light circuit to improve reliability of campus network.
- Installed two new HD video conferencing units.
- Installed backup generator to keep critical services running during extended power outages.
- Promoted Lynda.com service to the IU East community.
- Implemented a new issue tracking system that allowed us to provide better communication to the end user on the status of their issue.
