Actions Taken in Response to 2010 Survey
- Improved login time on Student Technology Centers (STC), NetExpress, and classroom instructor computers.
- Updated the campus wireless standard protocol and tripled the number of wireless access points from 50 to 150.
- Established wireless printing and color printing capabilities in all of the open STCs.
- Increased the number of computers in the library by adding a total of 36 computers on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors, and added three Mac computers in the Media Commons.
- Established training classes for consultants in a variety of services and applications in order to better support students in the Student Technology Centers.
- Migrated the campus web site to Web Content Management System (WCMS), working with Office of Marketing and Communication, providing a more easily navigable and updated environment.
- Provided training for support and systems staff as well as student consultants to improve support to Mac users.
- Began initiative to offer faculty and upper level administrators the choice of laptop or desktop to meet their needs and work style.
- Updated all generally scheduled classrooms with new computers and equipped fifty-two classrooms with new ceiling mount projectors.
- Added three more portable classroom laptop carts and increased the number of laptops in the two existing units.
