Wednesday January 21st URSA Spring Welcome Back Party All Religious Studies majors and friends interested in Religious Studies are invited! Sycamore 224 (Religious Studies Library) 4-6pm food provide.

Friday January 23, Lunch with Taslima Nasrin: She is a Bangladeshi author, poet, and newspaper columnist. In addition to her award-winning literary contributions, Nasrin is an outspoken advocate for women and the power of free speech. She has criticized religion, traditions, and the oppressive cultures and customs thatdiscriminate against women. Noon in the Religious Studies Library, Sycamore 224 Lunch will be provided.RSVP

Monday January 26, 7pm Global Village, Foster Quad संस्कृतचलछित्रं पश्यत ! Sanskrit Movie Night, with Prof. Rebecca Manring.

Wednesday March 25, lunch with Adjunct Prof Jamsheed Choksy. This is an opportunity to meet with Prof. Choksy and talk about his research and teaching interests. Sycamore 224 11:45-12:45pm Lunch will be provided (RSVP to mhosek@indiana.edu)

Student and Faculty Reception 2009

The event will be held on Thursday April 23, 2007 at 5:30 pm in Faculty Club in the University Club at the IMU. Previously called Honors Day.

Graduation Party 2009

The Department of Religious Studies will celebrate the graduating class of 2009 Saturday, May 9, 2009 5:30-7PM at a reception for students and their families in the Faculty Room in the University Club at the IMU.
