Library Policies
Use
of the RIFIAS Reading Room

The RIFIAS
does not lend any materials for use outside the library.

Absolutely
no food or drinks are allowed in the Reading Room.

All coats,
briefcases, backpacks, bags, and parcels must be left in Room 144; they may
not be brought into the Reading Room. Staff are not responsible for lost
valuables.

Do not
re-shelve any books. Leave all materials you have used on the tables or
floor.

Quiet
conversation is permitted if it does not disturb other readers.
Copying of RIFIAS Library Materials
Readers are allowed to copy materials for their personal use in Goodbody Hall, Room 147. The cost for copies is determined by the Department of Central
Eurasian Studies.

The RIFIAS
staff on duty must be notified before any materials are removed for copying.
The key to the copying room and the copier code may then be obtained from the
Central Eurasian Studies department office.

Not more than two items may be taken out of the RIFIAS
Library by the same person at one time for copying.

All persons wishing to make copies must record the date, their
name, and the title and call number of the item on the sign-out sheet in the
RIFIAS Reading Room.

All copying must be done on the machine in Goodbody Hall 147.
No RIFIAS materials are to be removed from the building.

All persons
making copies are responsible for seeing that the terms of the Copyright Law
(Title 17, United States Code) are met.
