RKCSI co-sponsored with ASIST SIG SI a Research Symposium:
"The 8th Annual SIG-SI Research Symposium, held on October 27, 2012 at the Annual Meeting of the American Society for Information Science and Technology in Baltimore, MD was a great success. There were ten thought provoking presentations that addressed this theme, several posters and two best papers awards. The Symposium was organized by Pnina Fichman and Howard Rosenbaum, both of the School of Library and Information Science at Indiana University, and was co-sponsored by the Rob Kling Center for Social Informatics. Papers from the Symposium will be published in an edited volume "Social Informatics: Past, Present and Future" edited by the organizers.
