Overview

The purpose behind the mapping project is to help the robot understand where he is in the world. The goal is to have a robot detect points of solid objects in front of it while roaming around in the world (say a room). The robot would then be able to have a sense of where solid objects are (walls) and then be able to traverse the room without bumping into walls and ultimately be able to understand where exactly in the room he is.
