Here is the second edition of our Crimson Guard newsletter!

Last Week Recap

• Last Tuesday Indiana fell to #4 Syracuse 69-52.

• On Saturday Indiana defeated The University of North Florida 89-68.

• Noah Vonleh recorded his sixth double-double of the season.

• Vonleh was also named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the 3rd time.

• Indiana is now 7-2 on the season.

Looking Forward

• On Tuesday Indiana will play host to the Oakland Golden Grizzlies.

• The Grizzlies are in the Horizon League and currently stand at 2-7.

• The Game will air live on ESPN2 at 7:00pm.

• On Saturday Indiana will travel to Indianapolis for the Crossroads Classic.

• They will face Notre Dame #25 Notre Dame at 3:15pm.

Weekly Rankings

• This week the Hoosiers dropped from the USA Today top 25 for the first time.

• They are 7th in the “Others receiving votes” section.

• They received only three votes for the AP Top 25.

• New Rankings are generally released on Monday around 1pm.

Season Statistics

• The Hoosiers are currently averaging 82.9 Points per Game, which is 37th in the nation.

• They are 3rd in the nation in rebounding, averaging 47.8 per game

• Yogi Ferrell leads the team in Points per Game, averaging 17.0 on the season.

• Freshman Noah Vonleh is currently averaging a double-double, 13.3 points and 10.0 rebounds.

• Yogi also leads the team in assists averaging 4.0 per game.

• Indiana is outscoring opponents 746-603 on the season, an average of 15.9 Points per Game.

Camp Crean

• New to Camp Crean this year are tents to provide shelter from the weather.

• During the colder months, tent sides and heaters will be installed to provide additional comfort.

• There will be poster making stations inside the tents, so be creative and make some posters!

• The next event will be on Tuesday, January14th against Wisconsin.

• There will be a Tom Crean Bobblehead giveaway!

Crimson Guard T-Shirts

•Sorry about the cancellations last week. As you can tell the weather got a little out of hand!

• For now we have two more dates for t-shirt pickups!

• You can pick one up tonight, Monday, after our Crimson Guard meeting from 7-8pm.

• The meeting is in the Business School, room 211.

• December 12th from 2-5pm in the South Lobby of Assembly Hall.

Crimson Guard Newsletter-Edition 1

New this year we will be sending out a weekly newsletter containing some information about the basketball team, student section, and the season in general. This is our first ever edition!

Last Week Recap

• Indiana finished as runner-up in the 2k Sports Classic in New York City

• The Hoosiers returned home and defeated Evansville 77-46

• Evansville entered the game averaging 90 ppg

• Jeremy Hollowell came off the bench to tally 18 points.

Looking Forward

• On Tuesday Indiana will travel to #8 Syracuse for a rematch of last year’s Sweet 16.

• The Orange are currently 7-0 and are averaging 76.7 Points per Game.

• The Game will air live on ESPN at 7:15pm.

• On Saturday Indiana will host North Florida.

• The Ospreys, from the Atlantic Sun Conference, are 4-4.

• They are first in the nation in rebounding, averaging 50 per game.

• Yogi Ferrell leads the team in Points per Game, averaging 18.1 on the season.

• Freshman Noah Vonleh is currently averaging a double-double, 12.9 points and 10.4 rebounds.

• Yogi also leads the team in assists averaging 3.9 per game.

• Indiana is outscoring opponents 605-466 on the season, an average of 19.9 Points per Game.

Camp Crean

• New to Camp Crean this year are tents to provide shelter from the weather.

• During the colder months, tent sides and heaters will be installed to provide additional comfort.

• There will be poster making stations inside the tents, so be creative and make some posters!

• The next event will be on Saturday, December 7th against North Florida.

• DJ Unique and B-97 will have a Live Radio Remote from 2-4pm.

• It will be Ugly Sweater Night! Everyone be sure to wear your favorite ugly sweater!

• There will be a Kilroy’s T-Shirt giveaway!

Crimson Guard T-Shirts

• For now we have three (tentative) dates scheduled for Crimson Guard T-Shirt pickups.

• December 5th from 1-4pm by the clock tower between Woodburn and Ballantine.

• December 6th from 12-3pm in the South Lobby of Assembly Hall

• December 9th at our Crimson Guard meeting. It will be held from 7-8pm in room 211 of the Business School.
