Parents of College Students

If you are the parent of an IU student, the SAC offers many special programs and services to ease the transition to college and to help your student be successful while here at IU. We offer study skills workshops, our Supplemental Program provides support to students who are taking particularly difficult classes. Tutoring is available on campus at the Academic Support Centers at Briscoe, Forest, and Teter residence halls. If your student is on probation, the Phoenix Program offers courses and services for students who are in academic difficulty. If your student is here as part of the Groups Program or has been invited to join the Right Start Program, check the links which describe those programs.
