Right Start Program

The Right Start Program is designed for any freshmen coming into IU who might benefit from greater exposure to college culture. For those students who are first generation college students, or who grew up far from any college or university facilities, or who attended a small high school which did not provide the opportunity for pre-college courses or campus exploration; this program offers an orientation to college life and culture and to this particular campus.

Students will explore the campus and its many academic and cultural resources in small seminar groups led by both graduate and undergraduate instructors. The seminars are designed to build a sense of community and collegiality among the seminar attendees. The program serves to bring students together and provide opportunities to build friendships and connections on campus. For more information contact Stacy Jacob or call (812) 855-4697.
