About Exhibiting at the Society for Ethnomusicology's 61st Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.

Thursday, November 10, (Set-up) 8:00am-11:00am
Thursday, November 10 11:00am-6:00pm
Friday, November 11 8:00am-6:00pm
Saturday, November 12 8:00am-1:00pm
Saturday, November 12 (Tear-down) 1:00pm-3:00pm




Options: There are two ways to exhibit at the conference:
  1.) Send a representative(s) and display your books in person.
Rental: $400 for one 6' L x 30” W table
$625 for two 6' L x 30” W tables
$800 for three 6' L x 30” W tables
Rental includes: 6' L x 30” W table(s), 2 chairs per rental

2.) If you do not wish to send a representative.

You may send individual items to display on a "common table" in the exhibit area We suggest sending 300 order forms with your sample(s). Please note: SEM lacks funds to return any materials. Samples will be distributed to student volunteers.

Fees: $40 for each item to be displayed (order form does not count as item)




Benefits The SEM Annual Meeting is expected to attract 1000 scholars, educators, public sector professionals, and musicians from throughout the U.S. and around the world.


ALL exhibitors will be recognized in the conference program.
  Complimentary conference registration:
Exhibitors registered for one or more tables receive a maximum of two (2) complimentary conference registrations.




Security: The exhibit area will be locked each evening.

About Placing a Notice in the SEM Annual Meeting Program Book

Description: The SEM Program Book contains conference information and a detailed schedule of the program. The 2015 Program Book included 54 pages plus notices and was spiral bound.
