Important Renewal Information for 21st Century Scholars Covenant Students

The 2009-2010 FAFSA is now available as of January 1, 2009. To complete your FAFSA please visit www.fafsa.ed.gov.

If you or your parents have not filed your taxes before March, you should complete your FAFSA using estimated tax related information. You should also indicate that you "Will File" on your FAFSA. Please be sure to update this information once you file your taxes.

The FAFSA priority deadline for Covenant Recipients is March 1, 2009. For more information about the 21st Century Scholars Covenant award, please visit http://www.indiana.edu/~sfa/types/21st_century_covenant.html.

Please be sure to list IU Bloomington as your first school choice on your FAFSA. The IUB school code is 001809.

You must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours (full-time status) by the SSACI Census date, which is the Friday of the fourth week of classes. Please keep in mind that this does not include waitlisted courses.

You must also meet the academic requirements of our office, known as Satisfactory Academic Progress. For more information, please visit http://www.indiana.edu/~sfa/receiving/sap.html.

Information requested by our office should be submitted within 10-14 days from the date requested.
