Our Program

Our parents and work-study students are engaged in creating activities for our children. We are fortunate to have a nice 4 room house that is full of puzzles, play-doh and other toys. Sunflower also has a shady, open yard with plenty of equipment for our children to play in.

Daily schedule
9:00 – Sunflower opens. Parents note the time their child arrives along with any special instructions in a chart on the refrigerator. Time for free play in the playroom.

9:40 – Snack time. Bathroom or diaper change as needed.

10:10 – Group activity (could be a walk outside, painting, dress-up, time to play in the sandbox, a trip to the library or the Mathers Museum, etc…).

11:30 – First Lunch.

12:00 – Play with toys or read books and check diapers (wind down for nap time).

12:30 – Nap time.

2:30 – Second Lunch (if any is left) or snack time and diaper changes.

3:10 – Outside play, trip or a second activity.

4:20 – Snack time and diaper changes.

5:00 – Sunflower closes.
