Vocal Jazz Ensemble The Vocal Jazz Ensemble, numbering around 10-15, delves into the realm of tight harmonies and jazz styling. Auditions are held each semester and generally require a jazz piece, reading of jazz melody lines, and sometimes "scat" singing. This outstanding ensemble rehearses two times a week. The 2008-2009 director of the Vocal Jazz Ensemble is Dr. Patrice Madura. The 2002-2003 Vocal Jazz Ensemble performs at the 2002 Chimes of Christmas Concert.
