Undergraduates Graduate Students Faculty Institutes & Centers Contact

The Gender, Race, and Class Workshop is a special community of graduate students and selective faculty that comes together in a comfortable, round table environment to provide excellent feedback on projects at all levels. Presentations range from works in progress to dissertation chapters and published articles. The scholarly work presented in GRC is specific to pertinent issues related to race, class, gender, and/or inequality.

The seminar meets from 2:00pm -3:30pm on a selected Friday of each month for the Spring and Fall semesters. In years past, the GRC Workshop has featured the following outside speakers: Prudence Carter (Harvard University), Tukufu Zuberi (University of Pennsylvania), Deirdre Royster (William and Mary College), Mignon Moore (UCLA), and Enid Logan (University of Minnesota-Twin Cities).
