Bob Althauser

Bob Althauser has published widely and developed an international reputation in the areas of the sociology of work and occupations, social stratification and labor markets. His publications have focused on the methods he uses in his career analysis, the labor markets for knowledge workers, the effects of education and credentials on the work of allied health occupations (physical, occupational, respiratory therapists) and the scholarship of teaching and learning. As an emeritus professor, he devotes much of his time to work with the American Red Cross, including the recent floods in Owen County and the hurricanes hitting Florida in 2004.
