Mark Bissonnette

My name is Mark Bissonnette, and I am a second-year graduate student in the sociology department. Broadly, my interests in the field include the sociology of culture and research methods. More specifically, I am interested in the social implications of the Internet and its use as a disseminator of cultural goods. Before coming to Bloomington to pursue my PhD, I attended Georgetown University and continued to work in the Washington, DC area for three years after completing my bachelor’s degree. Currently, I am working on MA paper which will aim to determine whether traditional methods of cultural omnivorousness predict the consumption of cultural goods online.
