Jason Blind is a first-year sociology graduate student at Indiana University. He graduated from Central Michigan University in 2010.
Broadly, his academic interests are within the fields of sociology of children and youth, education, and social psychology. He specifically is interested in examining the development of peer culture and identity within different cultural and structural environments. During his undergraduate career, Jason conducted an in-depth interview study about the academic and social trajectories of university students through the Finnish education system. In addition to his work within the Department of Sociology at Indiana University, he is also continuing intensive study of the Finnish language to expand upon this line of research.
