I am originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, and I graduated from DePauw University with a BA in sociology and a minor in psychology. I received my MA in sociology from Indiana University, and my MA thesis focuses on the English-language gains of Hispanic students in Head Start programs. I am currently working toward my Ph.D in sociology with a minor in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA). My sociological research interests include inequality, education, and public policy. In my spare time, I like to hang out with my dog as much as possible.
