Andrew Halpern-Manners

 

Andrew Halpern-Manners joined the Department of Sociology in 2013 as an Assistant Professor. His research and teaching interests include social demography, the sociology of education, life course sociology, survey methods, and longitudinal data analysis. He is currently engaged in a program of research that examines “panel conditioning” effects, or the bias that results when answering questions in one wave of a survey influences the way that respondents characterize themselves (or those around them) in subsequent interviews. Articles coming out of this project have appeared in Demography, Social Forces, and Sociological Methods & Research.
