Sarah Hatteberg

After receiving her BA in Sociology/Anthropology and Economics from Lake Forest College in Chicago, Sarah began her graduate work at IU in the fall of 2007. Her initial research interests included international migration, sociology of religion, and mental health. Now in her 6th year in the program, Sarah's interests fall more broadly under the heading of medical sociology with particular focus on the sociology of mental health and stress theory. In addition to her research on international migration, Sarah is pursuing new projects in the sociology of sport that that focus on the mental health and well-being of student-athletes.
