Nikole Hotchkiss
I joined the graduate program at IU after graduating from the University of Denver with a BA in sociology and public affairs. My primary sociological interests are in the intersections of political and cultural sociology using comparative and historical case studies. I am currently writing my dissertation, which examines the construction of target groups in France and the US in the latter half of the twentieth century and the impact of these constructions on national security and immigration policy. I will be entering the job market in the fall of 2008. In my spare time I like to relax with friends, travel, and run in (and train for) road races.
