Samuel Kye

Samuel Kye joins the Department of Sociology at Indiana University after coming from Houston, TX, where he spent a year working with Dr. Elaine Howard Ecklund as a post-baccalaureate fellow with the Department of Sociology at Rice University. Prior to his time at Rice, he earned his BA in Sociology at Wheaton College (IL), graduating in May 2011. Sam’s broad research interests include race/ethnicity, immigration, neighborhood effects, and educational inequality. Specifically, his current research examines the formation of suburban ethnic communities and their relation to processes of segregation, white flight, and the formation of multiethnic communities.
