I came to Indiana University by way of Brockport, New York, a small college town in western New York, where I received my Bachelors in Sociology in 2012. My research focuses on how organizational structure enables organizations to respond to changes in their environment and the many ways people, organizations, and institutions are interconnected. To that end, my MA project focuses on how perceptions of the external environment effect the ways decisions are made in an organization. Previous research focused on how Community Development Loan Funds used their websites to engage in impression management in response to a crisis of legitimacy during the Great Recession. When I do find extra time between classes, work, and research, you can usually find me out with friends around Bloomington. You can also find my CV here.
