Elizabeth Anne Martinez
Elizabeth A. Martinez is a graduate student pursing a PhD in Sociology at Indiana University – Bloomington. Elizabeth received her MA in Sociology from Indiana University in 2013 and a BA in Sociology from Seattle Pacific University in 2009.
Broadly, Elizabeth’s research interests include race/ethnicity, education, and immigration. Her current projects examine the impact of teachers’ expectations on Hispanic high school students’ educational outcomes across generations and the impact of perceived campus racial hostility on coethnic peer support and strengthening of ethnic identity for Black, Asian, and Hispanic college students.
