Lisa Miller

Lisa Miller is a first-year student graduate student in the Ph.D. program in Sociology at Indiana University-Bloomington. She received her B.A. in Sociology and Women’s Studies in 2008 from Berea College, a small liberal arts school in Kentucky for low-income students. Previously, she has conducted survey research on students’ attitudes toward pornography use, and she has also examined the various ways in which the social construction of gender informs and serves as an organizing foundation for sexual identity and desire.

Broadly speaking, her current sociological interests include gender, sexuality, inequalities, social psychology, and qualitative methods. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, hiking/camping, and trying new foods in Bloomington.
