Jamie Oslawski-Lopez

Jamie Oslawski-Lopez is a Ph.D. student in Sociology at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. She earned her M.A. in Sociology in 2006 from Ohio State University and her B.A. in Sociology and English Writing in 2004 from DePauw University. Between earning her M.A. and beginning to work on her Ph.D., Jamie worked in marketing research first as an analyst, and then as a project manager. Jamie’s professional interests include studying popular culture, specifically looking at portrayals of stratification and social justice in music, television, and other media. In her free time, Jamie enjoys spending time with her husband, Marc, and two dogs, Winston and Miller, reading, watching movies, and traveling.
