I am currently pursuing my PhD as a graduate student at IU through the department of sociology. My MA was completed in 2013 with the thesis, "Chronic Usage: An Assessment of Extralegal Deterrence and Marijuana Consumption." Before coming to IU, I completed my B.A. in Sociology at Florida Atlantic University, with a minor in Political Science and Spanish.
My interests include Criminology, Criminal Justice, Deviance, Urban Sociology, Social Psychology, and Qualitative Methods. I also have a strong passion for teaching and am currently an associate instructor in the Department of Sociology at IU. Courses taught include S100, Introduction to Sociology, and I am looking forward to teaching other courses such as Deviance and Criminology in coming semesters.
