Originally from Massachusetts, Kristina holds a BA in Psychology from Wellesley College and an MA in Social Science from the University of Chicago where she wrote a thesis on organizational behavior change in hospitals. Her previous experience working in clinical trials in Boston and in pharmaceutical market research in the UK led to her interest in medical sociology, organizations and social psychology. In particular, she hopes to study the impact of pharmaceutical marketing on health care decisions, especially in pediatric mental health.

When not working toward her PhD, Kristina enjoys using her kitchen gadgets, wine, hiking, county fairs and festivals and relaxing with her husband and her puppy.
