Jaclyn Tabor
Jaclyn Tabor graduated from Purdue University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Women’s Studies (minors: Global Studies and English) as well as the distinction of being “The Outstanding Senior in the College of Liberal Arts.” Her prior research includes studies of collective action around water in India, U.S. legislation on outsourcing/offshoring, and corporate framing of the U.S. green movement.
She begins the Sociology Ph.D. program at Indiana University with interests in gender, family, global social movements, identity, and political sociology. She is particularly interested in transgender studies and social movement framing.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, Latin/Ballroom/Swing dancing, gardening, cooking, and watching old movies. She volunteers regularly at the Southside Animal Shelter and is a nationally-ranked collegiate ballroom dancer.
