Emily joins the sociology doctoral program at IU after graduating from the University of California, San Diego with a BA in Political Theory and Critical Gender Studies in 2008. Her academic interests include religion, politics, the sociology of knowledge, social theory and culture. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, cooking, and playing with her dog Shakey.
