Silent Night
A Holiday Art Sale and Auction to benefit the SoFA Gallery and the Friends of Art

The School of Fine Arts (SoFA) Gallery is pleased to announce Silent Night: A Holiday Art Sale + Auction featuring current work donated by faculty and students from the Henry Radford Hope School of Fine Arts at Indiana University. Additional works on display have been donated by a select group of local artists. This event is being held to help support the IU SoFA Gallery’s visual art programming and the important advocacy programs, including student scholarships administered by the Friends of Art. The sale will open Thursday, December 10th and end with a Silent Auction on Friday, December 11th, from 6:30 – 8:00pm in the SoFA Gallery.

The sale will comprise works from the IU Fine Arts and select local artists including jewelry, photography, painting, printmaking, ceramics and textiles. There will be special jewelry pieces made specifically for this event by Indiana University metalsmithing and jewelry design students and faculty. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase beautiful wearable, functional and non-functional art pieces made by Indiana University and local artists for themselves or as holiday gifts for friends and family. Payments may be made by credit card, check, or cash.

On Friday, December 11, Silent Night will be preceded by the Fine Arts Student Award Ceremony for IU Fine Arts undergraduate students at 5:30 pm in Fine Arts room 015. There will be a holiday party after the award ceremony held in the SoFA Gallery.
