The SoFA Gallery at Indiana University is the region's premier contemporary art space, featuring experimental works by significant regional and nationally known artists as well as by faculty and students within the School of Fine Arts. Exhibits are supplemented with educational performances, lectures, tours and other programs. Events are free and open to the public and the gallery is accessible to people with disabilities.

Exhibition Guidelines

Students

Priorities for exhibitions are given to graduating students in the School of Fine Arts MFA and BFA programs, and to graduating BA students within the School. These exhibits are scheduled on a regular basis. Contact the SoFA Gallery with questions.

If you are a student within the School of Fine Arts requesting an exhibition of your work that is not under the above categories, follow the guidelines for Professional artists stated below.

Professional Artists

Artists wishing to apply for an exhibition may submit ten to twenty images on CD, or a DVD, a one page proposal, a current resume, an artists statement if necessary, and any reviews or press materials that are appropriate. Proposals are reviewed year round, but please allow up to one year for review. Send proposals to:
