Tourism is the world’s largest industry, and a vital part of this area’s economy, employing approximately 4,000 people in the Bloomington area. Each of these tourism industry employees works hard every day to ensure that visitors have a positive experience when they come to Bloomington. Visitors to Monroe County account for over $250 million in economic impact to the community each year. The Hospitality Awards are a way to recognize and thank local attractions and individuals that help make Bloomington and Monroe County a great place to visit.
