- Four or Five Myths about Brazil and Latin America - A Horizons of Knowledge lecture by João Ubaldo Ribeiro
Tuesday, April 3
The Ninth Annual Graduate Student Research Conference on Lusophone and Hispanic Linguistics, Literature, and Culture will be held on Saturday, March 24 in the Tree Suites of the Indiana Memorial Union from 9 AM to 4:45 PM.
For nearly a decade, the annual Graduate Student Conference of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Indiana University has provided a venue for graduate-level scholars from around the country to share their research with others in their field. The conference is an excellent opportunity to refine and prepare scholarly research for inclusion in dissertation chapters, articles for scholarly journals, and other publications. Participants benefit from engaging with a broad array of scholars in a collegial atmosphere at one of the region’s largest departments of Spanish and Portuguese.
The Graduate Student Advisory Committee (GSAC) will also hold its annual book sale in the Walnut Room. GSAC has amassed a fine collection of used books from the department community's generous donations. All proceeds from the sale will directly contribute to GSAC's budget and fund graduate student travel grants.
