Mr. Miller is president of The Wallace Foundation, an independent, national nonprofit. He is also is chairman of Irwin Management Company, a family investment management office in Columbus, Indiana. From 1990 to 2009, he was Chairman and CEO of Irwin Financial Corporation, a group of specialized financial services companies.
Mr. Miller currently serves on the boards of directors of Cummins Inc., New Perspective Fund/ EuroPacific Growth Fund/New World Fund, Irwin Management Company, Tipton Lakes Company, Cummins Foundation, and the Irwin-Sweeney-Miller Foundation. He is an emeritus member and past co-chair of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, an economic development partnership of research universities and major corporations. He is a former trustee of Yale University and of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
Mr. Miller graduated cum laude from Yale University with a B.A. in English. He received his M.B.A. degree from Stanford University, graduating as an Arjay Miller Scholar. He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
