Scott joined the Career Development Office at the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) on July 1st, 2010. Scott has a master’s degree in Higher Education Student Affairs from the Indiana University School of Education. He is certified as a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) by the National Career Development Association (NCDA). Scott is also an active member of the Career Development Professionals of Indiana (CDPI). As SPEA’s Assistant Director of Employer Relations, Scott works primarily with employers helping connect them with SPEA’s undergraduate and graduate students.
Originally from Long Island, he graduated from Boston College where he held an internship with the BC Career Center. Scott added to his career services experience by working at the following offices after BC and before SPEA: the Stony Brook University Career Center, the IU Career Development Center, the IU Kelley School of Business Undergraduate Career Services Office, and the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) Solution Center.
Outside of work Scott is a passionate sports fan and devoted husband. His favorite teams include IU and BC athletics, the NY Mets, the NY Jets, and US Soccer. In fact, Scott officiated professional (PDL) soccer matches in New York. Also of note is Scott’s passion for long-distance running. He has completed 18 marathons as of March 2012, including the Boston, New York City, and Chicago Marathons.
